Ronald Koeman's Side Overcomes Slow Start to Secure Victory

The Netherlands booked their spot in the quarterfinals of the European Championships on Wednesday, defeating Romania 3-1 in Munich. Despite Romania starting strongly, Ronald Koeman's side gradually gained control of the game and ultimately emerged victorious.

Romania had the better of the early exchanges, with George Puscas hitting the post in the opening minutes. However, the Netherlands grew into the game and took the lead through Memphis Depay's penalty just before halftime.

The Dutch doubled their advantage early in the second half when Denzel Dumfries headed home a cross from Depay. Romania pulled a goal back through Alexandru Maxim, but the Netherlands sealed the win through Wout Weghorst's late strike.

The victory means the Netherlands have now reached the quarterfinals of the European Championships for the first time since 2008. They will face Turkey in the last eight on Saturday.
