Richard Gere: A Filmography
Early Career
Richard Gere made his film debut in 1975's Report to the Commissioner. He followed this with roles in Days of Heaven (1978), American Gigolo (1980), and An Officer and a Gentleman (1982). These films established Gere as a leading man and one of the most popular actors of the 1980s.
Later Career
Gere continued to star in a variety of films throughout the 1990s and 2000s, including Pretty Woman (1990), Primal Fear (1996), and Chicago (2002). He also appeared in the Broadway revival of Three Days of Rain in 2006. In recent years, Gere has starred in films such as Arbitrage (2012) and Time Out of Mind (2014).
Personal Life
Gere has been married three times, to Cindy Crawford, Carey Lowell, and Alejandra Silva. He has one child, a son named Homer James Jigme Gere, with Silva.
